The name L'Occitane is surely not unknown to any beauty lover. 'L'Occitane' literally means - 'woman of Occitania' (A region in the south of France), it symbolizes the beauty of this women along with her beautiful relationship with nature. L’Occitane is one of the leading luxury natural skincare brands in the world that follows and believes strongly in the core values of -Authenticity, Sensoriality, Respect. This year is another milestone year for L'Occitane as it celebrates its 40 years of passion for nature.

Company History: The beautiful journey of L'Occitane began back in 1976 when Oliver Baussan, the founder began extracting wild rosemary essential oil in a distillery. He then used this essential oil to make shampoos that he sold in the local markets. After which it was in 1981 when he opened the first L'Occitane store in Provence and as of 2016, they account for over 2,700 stores in over 90 countries.
L’Occitane decided to tap into the Indian market in 2009 by opening its first boutique in Khan Market, New Delhi and currently it has 12 stores in India which cover all the major cities including New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Hyderabad and Pune.

Some of you who follow me on my social media accounts maybe aware that I was one of the few lucky ones who got to be a part of this 40th Anniversary celebration that was hosted at Spa La Vie, Mumbai. Dr. Aidan Goddard, Chief Financial Officer, Asia Pacific and Mr. John Ho, General Manager, South East Asia visited India along with Ms. Simi Dewan, Deputy General Manager, L’Occitane India to celebrate the brand’s anniversary. We were taken through the journey of the brand and were made aware of the product range that they had to offer. Post this informative conversation we had a lovely pampering session with some of the finest L'Occitane products that are made with natural ingredients.
