Hello Chicsters!

Since the wedding season is round the corner, foundations are at an all-time high demand. Foundation is not something which I personally use on everyday basis but when it comes to special occasions like weddings and social gatherings they help you add that extra oomph factor.
So, without further delay, let’s have a look at top 10 foundations in India at present –

1. Lakme Absolute Illuminating Foundation (Price – Rs. 750 for 14 Grams )
This is the recent launch of Lakme and is perfect to create a glowing wedding look. The foundation is perfect for those who opt for a dewy finish. It illuminates your skin without making it look oily or OTT. It is can be worn as a daywear as well as a nightwear foundation however, don’t forget to use a light moisturizing cream underneath as it is not that moisturizing on its own. Also, try to work with a brush when you use this foundation as the finish is much better then.
2. L’Oreal Mat Magique Foundation (Price – Rs.476 )
The foundation comes in a fun and quirky poppin' pink packaging which is extremely travel friendly. This is said to be one of the holy grail foundations for Oily skin. It provides full coverage with matte finish and controls oil and shine to a very large extent. It is also a sweat proof foundation meaning you can easily wear it on a hot or humid day. Also, the foundation has a good selection of shade options to choose from that will suit almost all the Indian skin tones.
3. NYX HD Studio Photoready Foundation (Price – Rs. 1163 for 36 ml.)
The foundation is formulated with such specialized ingredients that it gives a very smooth finish which looks very much like an HD finish. Also, the photo ready feature makes you look your best in the photographs. This is the primary reason why this foundation is a favorite of makeup artists all over the world. Also, the foundation is light weight and thus does not involve much blending.
4. Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum (Price – Rs. 948 for 30 ml.)
This is one of the best offerings from Bourjois and personally one of my favorites too. The foundation has a gel like feel to it and it will remind you of serums with silicone in it. And maybe that’s the reason why it is called as serum. It spreads on the skin without emphasizing on your dry flakes. It also gives your skin a dewy finish without going over the top. The foundation lasts for quite long and covers minor imperfections on your face.
5. Rimmel London lasting finish 25 Hour Foundation (Price – Rs. 775 for 30 ml.)
This comes in a compact tube size packaging which is easy to carry along. This foundation keeps your face sweat free and oil free for 25 long hours with a matte finish. The coverage is buildable giving you an option to go from medium to high coverage as per the occassion. The foundation is perfect to hide your blemishes and you won’t even require a concealer with this foundation.
6. Maybelline Dream Mousse Foundation (Price – Rs. 600 for 18 Grams)

To get an airbrushed look thios product workswell when used with the real techniques stippling brush. The foundation has a fuller coverage and perfect to hide your flaws and imperfections.

A perfect lightweight foundation with a matte skin finish that compliments oily, combination and sensitive skin. This foundation ensures that your skin is able to breathe even under makeup. Also, the entire 9-5 range is tailor made for office makeup. Thus, this one is perfect for those long shifts in office and the packaging is also in a tube finish which is easy to carry along.
9. Makeup forever HD Foundation (Price – Rs. 2064 for 30 ml.)
This is every girl’s dream. With a big glass bottle, only a little amount is required per usage making the foundation last for months. The rich liquid cream formula is easy to spread and very moisturizing on its own in nature. This foundation is perfect for any occasion and it gives a flawless smooth HD finish. Not to forget the foundation looks great in pictures too.
10. MAC Studio Fix Foundation (Price – Rs. 2290 for 30ml)
This is another one of my favourite foundations and is an absolute dream come true for oily or combination skin types. The foundation is creamy and moisturizing in terms of it’s texture and it is because of this creamy formula the product blends right in and eventually settles in a matte finish. This foundation is extremely pigmented and you only need a little amount of it. In my experience it works best when used with a real techniques sponge. Also, the foundation has a medium to heavy buildable coverage and that can help you conceal acne spots, discoloration and blemishes too.

  3. h wow! I have oily skin as well and had my fair share of acne-troubled times. While doing fall makeup lesson , I know about many facts about not only makeup, but also skin! These products look promising. I'm particularly interested in the concealer and eye liner. It's quite difficult to look for a concealer that could really conceal and within a mom's beauty budget!

  4. Have you tried Huda one? This is a really helpful and detailed review. I love Huda and I'm desperate to get the eye-shadow palette but it's a bit pricey for me atm. Though recently I did flawless make-up lesson, so I try to experiment with new products to improve my skill. I've also seen these and thought they looked gorgeous but worried they might be a bit too much. Seeing your swatches though, they obviously have great pigmentation but aren't over the top. Definitely might consider getting this now, when I have a bit more!
